Make Progress: Rise Higher and Higher

Rise higher and higher is a picture of deliberate growth. An edifice does not appear fully formed. It rises through planning, patience and many ordinary stages. In the same way, God develops us through lessons, responsibilities and seasons that may feel small. Every faithful step contributes to the structure He is building.

Do not despise the stage where you are now. Use it well. Learn what this season is teaching, strengthen your foundations and prepare for what is ahead. A higher platform requires stronger character. Public opportunity without private preparation can expose a person before they are ready.

Rising means increasing in wisdom, but it also means increasing in love. Knowledge without compassion can make us harsh, and success without humility can make us unsafe. Ask God to enlarge your capacity while keeping your heart tender. The goal is not to look important; it is to become increasingly useful.

Growth is often measured by what we can carry. Can you handle responsibility without abandoning prayer? Can you receive correction without becoming defensive? Can you celebrate another person without feeling threatened? Can you use influence to serve rather than control? These are signs that the building is becoming stronger.

Do not compare your stage with somebody else’s height. Their foundation was laid in a different season and their assignment may be different from yours. Honour your process by being faithful today. A building rises one block at a time, and a life rises through repeated obedience.

Take one step upward this week. Improve one habit, complete one assignment, repair one relationship or study one subject with greater seriousness. Keep a record of the step so that you can see how small acts become a pattern. God can use consistent steps to take you further than sudden excitement.

Prayer: Father, build my life securely. Help me rise in wisdom, character and service. Keep me humble as You increase my capacity, and make my growth a blessing to others. Amen.
